- Title
New Imaging Technique Leads to Better Understanding of Freezing in Plants.
- Authors
O'Brien, Dennis
- Abstract
The article discusses a research study published in the 2014 issue of the journal "Environmental and Experimental Botany" in which an imaging technique was developed by agronomist David P. Livingston of the U.S. Agricultural Research Service (ARS) that is used to better understand what happens to a cereal plant when it freezes. The implications of the research findings for growers are discussed. The study also explains how the imaging process works for oat plants.
