A literary criticism of the novel "Love Story Black) by William Demby is presented, and it mentions how Demby examines various themes in the book involving creativity, queerness, and African American life. Examinations of the central characters in the novel are provided, along with the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and 1970s, Black politics, and masculinity. Racial violence, gay identity, and police beatings are assessed.
