- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 29-year-old man who was referred to hospital for a severe hypertension despite of monotherapy with nicardipine. It mentions diagnosis of symptomatic aortic coarctation caused due to large abdominal arterial collateral. It also discusses conduction of transthoracic echocardiography which showed normal left ventricular function without hypertrophy, a tricuspid aortic valve and a normal ascending aorta.
