- Abstract
Results Twelve percent (363/2912) of burn patients were transferred back to acute care hospitals from inpatient rehabilitation. These data can be used by acute care and rehabilitation hospitals to focus attention and resources on high risk patients to help prevent acute care readmissions. Conclusions Gender, FIM admission, age, and acute care length of stay help identify patients most at risk for transfer to acute care.
