- Authors
Faust, Bradley D.; Hafner, Arthur W.; Seaton, Robert L.
- Abstract
The article presents information regarding the development of a user friendly room management system, OpenRoom, by the systems staff at the Ball State University Libraries. The new room management application was developed in order to address scheduling and booking space problems encountered by many academic and public libraries. OpenRoom was developed using an open source model so that it can be easily installed and managed. OpenRoom, which is now publicly available, has been developed by using a modular programming structure to make application updates and program add-ons easier to develop and implement.
