- Abstract
This article discusses the clinical outcomes of secondary amyloidosis in inflammatory arthritis, focusing on a case series from Western India. Secondary AA amyloidosis is a complication of inflammatory arthritis that can lead to high mortality and susceptibility to infections. The study conducted a retrospective analysis of seven patients with inflammatory arthritis complicated by renal amyloidosis. The patients received various treatment strategies, including the use of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and biologics. The results showed that most patients achieved a partial response to treatment, with some experiencing relapses. The study highlights the importance of early and adequate therapy to prevent adverse outcomes in patients with renal amyloidosis.
