- Abstract
The article presents a summary of meetings and seminars on international affairs held in New Zealand in 2009. On June 3, Noboru Hatakeyama, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Japan Economic Foundation, gave an address on the impact of the global financial crisis on Japan and New Zealand. Asian Studies lecturer Changzoon Song provided Korean perspectives on national security issues in North Korea on June 4. On May 12, public prosecutor Detlev Mehlis spoke on international justice and terrorist crimes.
