- Abstract
The article describes the case of the production company Manley Corporation and its issues with retaining competent women employees. Women employees stated that the corporation had become "macho," prompting Manley's human resources (HR) to create an Organization Development (OD) department to deal with gender issues and quality of work life balance inequities. The OD teamed discovered that Manley had an outdated work culture and needed a strategy to create a positive environment for women.
