- Abstract
The article analyzes the film "Manta Ray" directed by Phuttiphong Aroonpheng. It is noted that the film is plight of the stateless rohingya people seeking refuge in Thailand, homeland of the director. It is noted that Aroonpheng analyzes crises faced by Rohingya people indirectly, by way of cand motif. It is noted that the film deals with notions of fluidity, transformation, mirroring and doubling, and aquatic life.
