The article focuses on a survey conducted by Kauffman Foundation, a non-profit foundation, related to weakening ability of the U.S. to attract and retain genomics scientists as of September 2014. Topics discussed include decline in scientific talent retention, impact of genomics innovations covered by patents on biomedical research field and attraction of scientists towards public sector companies.
