- Abstract
In this article the authors comment on a study regarding the importance of synthetic validity on personnel selection. The authors say that synthetic validity provides greater statistical authority to detect validity differences between employee subgroups or job groupings such as gender or race. The authors also note that the effectiveness of synthetic validity database is based on a solid empirical foundation as well as maintenance and regular monitoring of its quality and significance.
