- Abstract
The article describes the historical context and the contents of the Record Book of Robert Barclay. The materials consist of 56 "folios" and five maps. The "folios" include, among other items, the Minutes of the Meetings of the East Jersey Proprietors in London, copies of a constitution and instructions for laying out Perth Amboy as the capital of the colony. The author is of the opinion that the materials increase confidence in some current knowledge, provides new information and opens new avenues for research.
