The article discusses the role of translator Nobuhara Ken in popularising Sherlock Holmes stories in Japan in the 1920s. It informs that Ken translated sixty stories related to Holmes and presented the good quality entertainment and education for the young middle class people in Japan. It mentions that the entire translation collection of Ken's was published by Shinchōsha Publishing Co. Ltd.
