The article reports on the demand for termination of top officials in Urumqi, China for failure to protect the interest of Chinese immigrants. It mentions that Chinese wanted for provincial party chief Wang Lequan and city party chief Li Zhi to resign for their failure to handle the alleged Uighur syringe attacks. It states that Zhu Hailun, secretary of Communist Party of China (CPC) Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Political and Legislative Affairs Committee, replaced Li Zhi but Wang remained.
