- Title
Digging Deeper Into Hepatitis C Virus Outbreaks.
- Authors
Olmstead, Andrea D.
- Abstract
The author offers a commentary on a study which offered a comprehensive sequencing-based analysis for the evaluation of a large number of well-defined hepatitis C virus (HCV) outbreaks aimed at identifying standard genetic criteria that can be applied to investigate future outbreaks. Topics covered include the use of end-point limiting-dilution polymerase chain reaction analysis to obtain multiple clones of the HCV, sequencing and phylogenetic methods for outbreak investigation.
