- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism on the poem "Lamia," written by English poet John Keats and published in 1820. It explores the influence of poet Edmund Spenser upon the aspects of the romance of place on the work of Keats. It also analyzes the role of escapism in "Lamia," as well as the relationship between dreams and reality.
