- Abstract
The article discusses the results of an examination of a necklace made of synthetic citrine with nail-head spicules. The said necklace's material, following specular reflectance Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, was identified as quartz. Microscopic examination showed that all of the beads were full of hollow growth channels and nail-head spicules which are characteristic inclusions in synthetic beryl and synthetic quartz. Inclusions demonstrate the typical wedge shape and the liquid in most of them contained a gas bubble.
