The article examines the design of the diving apparatus called rebreather invented by Alexander Mateevich Khotinsky which was patented on July 12, 1881. The topics discussed include a description of the parts of the apparatus, their purpose and how they are operated, and the author's comments on certain parts and mechanisms of the apparatus as designed. A brief background on Khotinsky and his invention's drawing are presented.
