- Abstract
The article features the Red Sea underwater camera housing of underwater explorer and filmmaker Hans Hass. The housing is one of the three housings that Hass used to film "Under the Red Sea." It was made from sheet brass and covered with a thick black paint. It has a big frame type viewfinder and controls for winding up the spring motor. Inside the housing is the Siemens 16 millimeter (mm) camera. The housing and the camera are now part of the collection of Canadian underwater filmmaker Jack McKenny.
