The changes which occurred in and around small veins in the hamster cheek pouch after the injection of a suspension of tumor cells were observed in vivo daily over periods from 7 to 12 days by means of an optical implant. Restitution of the vascular channel occurred in most animals. In only one animal did obvious tumor deposits form at the site of injection.
