- Abstract
The article offers information on the use of the Ammophila arenaria as nurse plants and in ecological facilitation. The topics addressed include history of an introduction of aernaria plant in arid region for the management of other plants and details on tall vegetative structures such as shrubs which act as nurse species by providing a wind break, shade, and soil stabilization for smaller plants and seedlings in dune systems.
