The thermonuclear rate of the 7 Be( p , γ ) 8 B reaction was calculated using the effective field theory (EFT) and coupled-channel formalism, considering the contribution of the excited nuclei 7 Be* up to the N 2 LO. We also investigated how the 1 + resonance affects the reaction rate. Our conclusions from this process were consistent with the known experimental data and the results of other theoretical methods.
