- Abstract
The article discusses findings of a study which examined the influence of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO)-induced variability in the Leeuwin Current system on the reproductive performance of four seabird species breeding at the Houtmon Abrolhos in Western Australia. It also compared the timing of breeding, breeding participation and reproductive success of the four species over a 17-year period. The Southern Oscillation Index (SOI), which is expressed as either positive or negative values, was used in the study to measure ENSO events.
