- Abstract
The article discusses the case of a 13-yer-old boy who presented to the emergency department with worsening abdominal pain, which was localized in the periumbilical region and was generalized and colicky in nature. He had a history of mild abdominal pain and loose stools over the past year. Ultrasonography revealed intussusception, a common cause of intestinal obstruction. Treatment involved laparatomy and resection of 60 cm of necrotic bowel.
