- Title
Doping, sport and the community.
- Authors
Pipe, Andrew; Hébert, Paul C.
- Abstract
The author reflects on the doping strategies being used by athletes that seem to surpass antidoping programs implemented by various organizations. He argues that pharmacologic approaches to enhance performance represent a witches' brew of distorted values and maligned perspectives that might lead to health risks. The author believes that a concern for drug use in community sport is important and the antidoping programs in an Olympic setting promotes fair play and maintain public trust.
