- Authors
Hingorani, Ana
- Abstract
The article examines teacher shortages in the U.S. and argues that the proposed incentives to combat this problem lack consideration of the Cobweb model implications. Topics discussed include impact of salary changes, working conditions and COVID-19 pandemic on education and the teaching profession, attempts to resolve teacher shortage via temporary salary increases and relaxed teacher certification standards, and the need to consider teacher labor market characteristics in educational reform.
