- Abstract
This essay presents narrative accounts of recovering at home after heart surgery. The narrative accounts are the results of an arts-informed narrative study of heart surgery patients. The study results were translated into poetry and photographic images. The poems include "Thrown to the wolves" and "These things prey on one's mind."
