Title
Advanced Optical Technologies.
Abstract
This article explains how scientists are producing a new type of material known as plasmonic metamaterial that can be employed as an possible element for cutting-edge optical technologies. Plasmonic metamaterials have the ability to have an index of refraction that is negative or on the range of one and zero. It is noted that the new materials could offer advances in transformation optics, but are limited by too much diffused or absorbed light and the need to create them to exact limits.
