- Abstract
The article focuses on the need to adopt a new federal common law rule that allows the accountant-client privilege to all litigants in multidistrict litigation (MDL). It mentions the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Erie R.R. Co. v. Tompkins related to the conflict of law and choice of law in MDL. It also mentions the MDL court can face problem in applying the rule of law in a proceeding in the New York, California, and Virginia.
