- Abstract
The article focuses on the urban inequality in Chengdu, China. It discusses the income gap in the urban and rural levels. It explores the two types of injustices as distinguished by Harvard University sociology professor Martin Whyte. It examines the construction projects of secretary Huang Xinchu as well as the expulsion of the city's deputy mayor Li Chuncheng. Also discussed are the mass rallies and demonstrations which features the portraits of the Chinese communist revolutionary Mao Zedong.
