- Abstract
The article presents a review of various developments in needleloom technology. It states that needlepunching is the oldest and well known method of forming nonwoven textile materials. It also forwards that needlepunched fabrics have many different applications such as protective clothing substrates, automotive fabrics, geotextiles, wall and floor coverings, and carpets. Moreover, the latest in needleloom technology is a patented invention of Ernst Fehrer of Fehrer AG, Austria. Relative to this, William Tatham Ltd. of England has also introduced the feed monitoring system called Microfeed 2000.
