The article discusses techniques used in proteomics research. Topics include the work of the global collaborative network Human Proteome Project (HPP) on protein-producing genes, problems with the storage of proteome data, and methods for mapping proteomes in relation to the use of antibodies to detect proteins. Differences between the Chromosome-based HPP and the Biology/Disease-driven HPP are noted.
