- Title
Libel win reveals need for reform.
- Authors
Cressey, Daniel
- Abstract
The article discusses the implications of a libel case ruling on the libel laws of England. It says that "Nature" has won the case involving the libel charge of physicist Mohamed El Naschie. It says that the ruling supported journalism's value which examines practices in scientific and peer review publishing. However, it mentions that the libel-reform campaigners contended that the case shows that the proposed reforms will not be probably enough for protecting scientific debate and free speech.
