- Abstract
The article presents a study on the captive breeding of the rose-ringed parakeets, Psittacula krameri in Great Britain. It mentions the authors have established a captive outdoor colony in the north east of England in 2005 in which breeding of parakeets was examined for two years. Moreover, the clutch sizes are found consistent between the first and the second attempt and are similar compared to those in the native range and therefore, this has an implication for the future specie expansion.
