- Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the levels of stress, anxiety, depression, life satisfaction, psychological well-being and positive-negative emotion of sedentary individuals according to 8 weeks of physical activity and to compare the pre-test and post-test scores. The research is a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test experimental and control groups. The research group consists of 50 experimental groups and 50 control groups, a total of 100 individuals. Data were obtained using the "Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale", "Life Satisfaction Scale", "Psychological Well-Being Scale" and "Positive-Negative Emotion Scale". Obtained data were compared within and between groups. Independent sample t-test was used to compare the stress, anxiety, depression, life satisfaction, psychological well-being and positive-negative emotion levels of the experimental and control groups in terms of pre-test and post-test scores. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship between dependent variables. While there was a significant difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of the individuals in the experimental group in terms of stress, anxiety, depression, life satisfaction, psychological well-being and positive-negative emotion levels, it was determined that there was no difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of the individuals in the control group. In the study, it was seen that there is a positive relationship between stress, anxiety, depression and negative emotion with life satisfaction, psychological well-being and positive emotion.
