This article focuses on a set of discourses produced during the second half of the 1950s, in the context of the idealization, conception, construction and inauguration of Brasilia. Its purpose is to discuss how the specificity of this urban form then had a content pregnant with history, historicity and historical culture, whose main meaning was to point to the future.
