- Abstract
The article comments on the role of women in the social transformation process of the work life in Italy. The Small Copernican Revolution gave way to the feminist movement in the Italian society. Women emerged as the new responsible and reliable workforce. Women were employed in work that did not require much specialization and efforts. The globalization further increased their independence and social visibility.
