- Abstract
The article focuses on the geographic distribution extension and new record of amphibia species Scinax cardosoi in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It notes that males of this frog species at night calls perched on grass and bushes at open areas which are connected to ponds near to permanent stream. However, its individuals were observed in forested area on similar substrate than the permanent stream at open areas during sunset. It points out that the determination of the species was confirmed through its comparison with the specimens found in Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
