- Abstract
This paper describes the construction of an ultrasonic tomograph combined with an impedance tomograph for bladder monitoring. The combination of both tomography techniques allows for an increase in the accuracy of urinary tract imaging. The main advantages of a dual tomographic system are the non-invasiveness, low cost of production and small size. The device supports the ultrasound beamforming technology and makes measurements using a phased array ultrasonic transducer. The impedance measurement device uses electrodes made of conductive material placed directly on the body.
