- Title
Chapter 14: Anti-glomerular basement membrane antibody glomerulonephritis.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the treatment of anti-glomerular basement membrane glomerulonephritis (anti-GBM GN) which is mediated by antibodies. Topics discussed include drugs cyclophosphamide and corticosteroids plus plasmapheresis for all patients, no maintenance immunosuppressive therapy, and high dose corticosteroids and plasmapheresis for highly suspected patients. It suggests no kidney transplantation after anti-GBMGN until anti-GBM antibodies becomes undetectable for a minimum of six months.
