- Title
LUKE 9:1-50: LUKE'S PREVIEW OF THE JOURNEY OF THE PROPHET LIKE MOSES OF DEUTERONOMY.
- Authors
Moessner, David P.
- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the New Testament passage of Luke 9:1-50, focusing on the author's preview of the journey of the prophet like that of Moses in Deuteronomy. Topics addressed include silence concerning any developing journey to Jerusalem, the seemingly chaotic scramble of teaching units that bear no relations to a journey motif, and approaches that have attempted to clarify the nature of this tension.
