- Abstract
The article provides information on a study of a partial bill from the Eocene La Meseta Formation which most closely resembles that of ibises, which are a group of medium- to large-sized, mainly wading birds in the family Threskiornithidae. The study includes two fragments of the maxillary jaw with partially preserved rhamphotheca, IB/P/B-0698. It was noted that the precise taxonomic classification of the specimen IB/P/B-0698 is problematic. Dimensions of the specimens and overall shape resemble those of some threskiornithids, particularly representatives of Threskiornithinae Poche.
