The article analyzes the concept of nuclear winter phenomenon. The concept was developed by a group of scientists famously known as Turco, Toon, Ackerman. Pollack, and Sagan. They analyzed the after effects of large scale nuclear war. However, critics and researchers opposed the theory. Pros and cons of the theory such as atmospheric knowledge, decisions for nuclear policy making, and overpublicized ill effects are discussed.
