The article presents the case history of a 32-year-old man admitted to a hospital with fever, chills, malaise, leukopenia and a rash who was diagnosed with DRESS (drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms). The patient underwent an oral maxillofacial surgery about 20 days ago and started a 10-day course of prophylactic amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
