Social work in a public-school setting plays a vital role in the development of students and linking them to the resources and support, which is necessary to maximize their potential in the educational process. In both countries, Macedonia and Kosovo, there is no data-based, comprehensive information regarding the situation of social workers, their perceived general image in the society, scale and quality of services they offer, and the social work service policies. The current research is focused on the Perception of Social Worker profession in School Setting in Macedonia and Kosovo. This paper summarizes key findings of the accompanying evaluation carried out in the period February-April 2018. In the first step, the evaluation has targeted the perspective of school social workers, psychologists, pedagogical workers, lawyers and economists. In order to ensure the consideration of scientific discourses, this research is designed as a questionnaire so it can grasp the opinion of different target-groups. The evaluation of results shows that perception about need for school social work is closely related with general image of the social work in a particular society.
