- Abstract
The use of modern technology in schools in the course of teaching and educational or entertainment activities enhances not only the quality of teaching but turns into a great help to the teacher. Videos, in fact can turn into a very important tool to motivate students by being used in all disciplines and to enhance the quality of teaching. In this paper we will emphasize the importance of the film when used for didactic purposes in teaching and learning of foreign languages. This paper starts to explore the possibility of how by using video teaching it might be possible to overcome the challenges of practical implementation of absorbing linguistic material. This is the main problem addressed in this paper at a time when the Italian language is taught as a foreign language, i.e. respectively estimated and observed in two aspects: situations in the classroom, within the school premises; Situations outside the school, performed in different public environments. The uniqueness of this study lies not only in the treatment or the analysis of didactic film as an important element in the absorption of a foreign language, but also in the film making process by the students themselves, in order to show the positive effects these methods have to make the jump from the level of language absorption to the practical application of the language in real living, everyday situations.
