- Abstract
The article focuses on the geographic distribution extension of Ericales species Symplocos falcona in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It notes that this species grows in an upper montane semidecisuous forest in Prince Edward Island (PEI). It is characterized by branchlets sparse to densely sericeous/tomentose, mature leaves glabrous or glabrate, and young leaves densely sericeous/tomentose or strigose. Moreover, it has stamens erected to slightly curved inward with greenish to whitish anthers.
