- Abstract
The essay examines the algorithmic discrimination in health care from a European Union (EU) law perspective. It analyzes social inequalities in access to and quality of health care within the migrant and ethnic minority population, as well as the legal principles of equality and nondiscrimination under the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU and European Charter of Fundamental Rights. It discusses the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to remedy discriminatory practices in health care.
