- Title
Meeting with a Giant: An Informal Conversation with Arne Naess.
- Authors
Notario, Margarita García
- Abstract
The author details her informal conversation with Arne Naess. When she asked Naess about the features that he found in his relationship with the mountain that took him to associate it with the father figure instead of a mother, she was caught with what Naess told her that the reason behind the figure is because he never felt being loved by a father, since his father died when he was one year old. With her conversation with Naess, she notices that he is a paradoxical figure who enjoys an unusually emphatitic relationship with nature and an unusual personal commitment to promote social awareness to ecological issues.
