- Abstract
The article describes the predation of the slender anole, Anolis fuscoauratus, by the northern woodland racer, Drymoluber dichrous. On October 27, 2010, an individual of D. dichrous was seen chasing the slender anole near the Santo Antônio water spring in Missão Velha, Brazil. The snake seized the lizard by its upper body. The lizard gaped and showed signs of respiratory distress. The lizard did not struggle and its movements stopped after a few seconds. The snake eventually ingested the lizard from the head to tail.
